Wadia A-to-D Converter Overview

Why use and A-to-D converter?

Wadia manufactures A-to-D converters so that owners of Wadia Direct-Connect equipped CD Players and Decoding Computers can use analog sources without having to use an analog preamplifier.

Conventional CD Playback systems use preamplifiers, which, by making the signal path more complex, degrade sonic quality:

Wadia Direct-Connect technology allows the CD Player or Decoding Computer to be connected directly to your power amplifier like this:

Wadia Direct-Connect Systems bypass the pre amp. Sonic performance is dramatically improved because the signal does not have to pass through the preamplifier. However, analog source must be digitized to be incorporated into the Wadia Direct-Connect system. So Wadia has introduced a series of A-to-D converters that allow analog source to be included, as shown here:
