The 781i utilizes two signal processors feeding a programmable gate array to form a powerful processing engine. Coupled with our patented DigiMaster 2.5 upsampling software, the 781 generates a data rate of 1.4112 million samples per second at 24 bits of resolution. DigiMaster allows us to generate this amazing amount of data with accuracy in the frequency and particularly in the time domain. ClockLink jitter reduction provides state-of-the-art audio information extraction from CDs and now SACDs. A discreet implementation of our SwiftCurrent technology (SC-3D) was invented to exploit the extraordinary data rate generated in the digital section. Current exiting the converters is mirrored and driven with a zero global feed back Class A throughput stage. Signals remain time and phase coherent throughout the entire system. Why is this important? When accuracy in the time domain is achieved the resulting 3-dimensional sonic image leaves you with the uncanny sensation of being there.

The 781i noise floor has been reduced through the adoption of new inductor filtering for both the digital and analog power supplies ensuring smooth charging of capacitors and eliminating noise spikes from the ground plain. There is a fully regulated separate power supply for digital processing, clocking, D>A conversion, and the output stage. Every performance component is powered by regulated isolated power traces. Silent pure power is delivered with lightning speed allowing for instantaneous reproduction of transient information and creating a sense of effortless, relaxed power.
