Collaborative design with world-class partners

The 381 and 381i share the same classic design, and quality construction that is a critical element of every Wadia product.Wadia has a long history of using excellent CD transports, but our two-year collaboration with Stream Unlimited is the first time Wadia worked directly with a high-end digital transport company. The goal was to co-engineer an application-specific mechanism/servo system for Wadia playback machines.  The Wadia 381i integrated player/processor and the new Wadia 571 CD transport have demonstrated that the new transport offers bit-perfect data retrieval well beyond the capacity of any prior Wadia machines.The new Wadia CD transport features an aluminum disc drawer with metal stabilizer rods, enhanced by a custom mounting and enclosure system that provides both mechanical and electrical isolation. With performance surpassing even the highly acclaimed transports featured in previous players, the 381 and 381i exude the quality we demand from players deemed worthy of the Wadia designation.
