The Special Edition (se) Upgrade for the Wadia 861 CD Player

Available immediately, Wadia has introduced the se Upgrade for owners of the original Wadia 861 CD Player.

The Special Edition (se) Upgrade for the Wadia 861 CD Player - features a new and improved mechanism that embodies markedly improved engineering precision on all surfaces, including the surface onto which the disk is pressed. The se Upgraded Wadia 861 CD Player uses a newly-designed aluminum and brass hybrid turntable that provides significant sound reduction during disk rotation. The turntable has been stained green to absorb undesired diffused reflections.

To provide robust support for this newly developed turntable, the 861se uses a composite bridge composed of machined aluminum with a maximum thickness of 20 mm, and carbon-tool steel with a thickness of 5 mm.
