DigiMaster 2.4 Filter System --
The Wadia 861 CD Player uses the newest version of our patented DigiMaster filtering
system with 24-bit capability. Executed in DSP, the all new software also features
user-selectable digital algorithms allowing optimization of sonic performance based
on system matching and personal musical priorities. The 3 selectable algorithms
upsample* digital information to 32x a CD's input rate (1.4112 MHz DAC sample
rate), while differing in time and frequency domain characteristics. The algorithms
include the latest version of Wadia's classic DigiMaster™ time-domain
interpolation filter which is optimized to preserve subtle time and phase information
critical to music reproduction, helping to deliver a robust sound with extraordinary image
focus and re-creation of recorded space.
Wadia Swift Current™ IC
A powerful proprietary circuit, this patented technology performs sonically critical
current-to-voltage conversion (I/V) with no negative feedback.
Wadia Direct-Connect
Technology with Digital Volume Control
The Direct-Connect system allows the Wadia 861CD Player to be connected directly to a
power amplifier, bypassing the losses inherent in analog preamplifiers.
ClockLink™
Wadia's most effective jitter-reduction technology to date. ClockLink eliminates
jitter-inducing clock transmission by locating the master clock at the DAC chips instead
of the transport.
Teac CMK 3.2 (VRDS) Full Disc Clamping
Mechanism --
Full disc clamping CD mechanisms provide lower jitter and better sonic performance than
conventional non-clamped designs.
Modular Design
Wadia components are designed to readily accommodate future technology as it becomes
available. Multiple circuit boards, software-updateable circuitry, and a rear panel
