Our philosophy is straightforward. -- We believe there is musical magic encoded in the numbers on your discs. We believe that if we unravel every bit of information, the messages of your favorite artists will be communicated more clearly, making music more engaging and enjoyable. We have spent  years compiling an array of ideas and techniques to make our products extract, decode, and reconstruct the subtle details of music.

DigiMaster Up-sampling System with v3.0 Software
The Wadia 27ix v3.0 uses the newest version of our patented filtering system with true 24-bit processing. Executed in DSP,  the all new Version  3.0 software also features user-selectable digital algorithms allowing  optimization of sonic performance based on system matching and personal musical priorities. The Wadia 27ix with v 3.0 software includes the latest version of Wadia's classic DigiMaster™  time-domain interpolation filter which is optimized to preserve subtle time and phase information critical to music reproduction. Three selectable algorithms are part of a processing system that   upsamples* digital information  to 2.8224 MHz (DAC sample rate), while differing in time and frequency domain characteristics.

Direct-Connect™
The Wadia 27ix takes full advantage of the latest version of Wadia's Digital Volume Control. Introduced in 1992, the WADIA Volume Control allows you to connect the Wadia 27ix directly to your power amplifier, bypassing the losses inherent in any preamplifier.

ClockLink™
This provides the most stable possible clock, when the 27ix is paired with a Wadia 270 CD Transport, by positioning the master oscillator adjacent to the DAC chips rather than in the transport. It results in lower jitter and better sonic performance than is possible in conventionally clocked systems.

Temperature-Compensated Crystal Oscillator (TCXO)
The master oscillator in the Wadia 27ix is an ultra-stable TCXO, five-times more stable than conventional oscillators. ClockLink and the TCXO combine to provide the most stable clock signal available, as well as a dramatic improvement in sound quality with greater spaciousness, clarity, impact and purity.

Constant-Current Power Supply
Like a Class-A power amplifier output stage, Wadia's Constant-Current power supply delivers 60 watts of continuous power to the Wadia 27ix circuitry. This includes our quietest power supply yet: a four-stage, 60-Watt, current pre-regulator with 32 stages of local voltage regulation.  Power not needed by the circuitry is dissipated using the massive chassis as a heat sink. This gives the Wadia 27ix a sense of effortless, relaxed power unmatched by typical power supplies

Modular Design
Wadia components are designed to readily accommodate future technology as it becomes available. In this regard, the Wadia 27ix is our most flexible design yet, comprising six circuit boards, software-updateable circuitry, and a rear panel insert to allow for new input or output hardware should it be required. When new technology arrives, Wadia 27ix owners will be prepared.
